We’ll work with you every step of the way to design a quality technical installation solution for your home, office or your event. We work on both temporary and permanent installations and are available for everything from a party in the park to an intimate movie night at home.
But our service does not stop with the perfect design; even more importantly, we take responsibility for ensuring a seamless installation and smooth integration of the AV with all other devices and equipment. We ensure an experience and not just an event.
Our Story
Brendan began the business himself over 15 years ago, just after he first came to the UK. He arrived with the same idea that every South African has — work for a year or two in the UK, then travel the world. That idea soon changed as he found that, with his combination of strong work ethic and sociable nature, the natural step was to start his own company. Realising his lifetime ambition, he began working with a partner supplying discos and disco equipment to local hotels in West London.
He soon knew that he no longer wanted to put all his energy into discos and so decided to part ways with his business partner and create the embryo of the AV Company which you see today.
Brendan’s ideal was, and is still today, to create a company that provides professional equipment and second-to-none service, for all clients. Brendan rebranded the company in 2009 to Brendan McCormick Events AV Ltd. In his own words: ‘I gave the company my name to show that I am behind my business and what it stands for 100%, and that I am committed to providing every client with the professionalism, quality and dedication I would expect.’
Staying in touch with technology, Brendan realised that AV was growing to be an important part of people’s homes and commercial properties, so started an installation arm of the business, that today has grown into a very valuable part of the business serving clients in Europe and the UK. Learning about home automation and training in some of the top quality SMART devices, BME AV has managed to grow even further into the integration of SMART devices in the home, hotels, conference spaces and even cruise ships!!
So was born the new Brendan McCormick Events AV Ltd, covering all aspects of quality audio-visual equipment for both hire and installation, not only for events, but also now permanent installations at your office or home, but still with the one important aim: Every Time is Personal.
Then 2020 happened and the Covid 19 global pandemic which saw massive change for all aspects of the business. It was then, Brendan and his wife JJ, realised that, the incredible AV experience and customer service which they had developed over the many years, put them in a unique situation to be able to provide AV for home events. As people were more focused on staying home, but very much wanted to be with friends, the idea of home events took off. We decided to help with the massive downturn in our corporate events side of the business, that we would create a home events arm of the business: Big Movie Events to allow us to create a movie night, right in your garden! To maintain a supply of quality and up-to-date technology for our hire clients, BME AV and Big Movie Events have invested extensively in new equipment. Our range of equipment for hire includes the latest digital sound desk, a large array of lighting and DMX equipment, power distribution, top of the range microphones, projection, and most recently the addition of camera equipment and an onsite full broadcast editing suit.
